This was an interesting book. Arumatbis thrown into a new world where imagination is the magic of choice, and must navigate all-new challenges and landscapes- as well as his own darkness.

Mohamed Al Kindy, the author, has created a tale that sees the mind as the most viable tool in battle. Conjuring items from one's past can help secure victory in the most tumultuous situations. The story's main protagonist is Arumat, a man who has no idea how he came to this foreign world but soon learns that his brain is his most powerful weapon. A gruff man with a cunning acumen for conflict, he befriends Girish and Jumza, both with unique abilities. Tasked with helping Jumza find her lost husband, they venture farther into the world only to be central figures in turning the tide in a political and religious war. Imagine the first time you watched the movie Gladiator, add a touch of the Star Wars characters from the bar scene, and finish with a splash of the Wizard of Oz. I appreciated the concept of conjuring items from one's past to use for combat tactics. It led to a reading experience that was unique and fresh. Awaking in a world so varied from human existence yet with some of the same modern-day issues was a brilliant way for the reader to connect with the characters. The writing style was easily digested with plenty of creativity, especially when portraying new alien races. The story had a decent pace but could have been longer to include more depth of the world and strangers within. With more backstory, the reader would feel more invested in this interesting environment. As I summon my final verdict, I am armed with nothing but a smile and a yearning for more. I hope that this world will continue to evolve and I can consume more of this magical place. I am recommending this for lovers of the fantasy genre with a sensible twist. I am giving this 3 out of 5 stars.

With its incredibly fast-paced and engaging narration, follow along as we enter a world of ever changing landscapes and perpetrated and punctuated reality. In the picturesque village of Frohl lived a 20 year old Arumat. Although with handsome features of attractiveness, his eyes tell a different story. Filled with grief, bottled emotional vulnerabilities, and complexities as well as uncertainties of the challenges he has endured it becomes apparent that his life was about to take an extraordinary turn. This world is entirely new to him. A world where the different races and creatures were "abruptly summoned" without any recollection of their presence and way. With questions and frustration lining up, Arumat is not an ordinary boy. His past does hold the key but his actions of the present will decide the consequences and twists of the present. Arumat's determination and resilience will aid him to navigate the perilous challenges and unexpected trials. A fantastic, well written and superbly drawn characterization, this book is truly amazing. It builds up the crescendo of excellent twists and turns that echoes with massive anticipation and excitement. The elaborated and extensively established world building and universe is one of the many strong elements of the book. The exploration of creatures with distinctive features and uniquely crafted details speaks about the author's absolute dedication to bring forward a fresh, never seen plot to the fantasy enthusiasts. And he has achieved it with commendable imagination and creativity. This epic adventure novel with masterful execution of survival and pursuits will blow your mind. I'd highly recommend this book to the high stakes adventure novel with excellent narration, unforeseeable, exploding revelations and propelling writing style. A must read.
